For WhatsApp · Android and iPhone

Private messages, on the chat app you already use.

SecureMsg encrypts a message, photo, voice note or video on your phone and drops it into your friend's WhatsApp chat as a small locked card. Only the friend you connected with can open it. WhatsApp, the network, and we ourselves never see what is inside.

No account. No phone number given to us. Free.

Three steps, once per friend

Connect once. Then just send.

01

Connect on WhatsApp

Pick a contact. A connection request goes into their WhatsApp chat as a locked card, and you get an 8-character code.

02

Hand over the code

Tell them the code on a call or by SMS, never in the same chat. They type it once. Both phones are now connected.

03

Send anything

Text, photos, voice notes, videos, files. Each one is encrypted with a fresh key and opens by itself on their phone. No more codes, ever.

What you get

Built for people, not for cryptographers.

Locked cards in WhatsApp

A message shows up as a small SecureMsg document. Tap Open and it lands in the app, decrypted.

Connections, not passwords

One code per friend, once. After that every message unlocks on its own. Reconnect or unlink any time.

Voice, photo, video

Record a voice note, snap a photo or a short video from the chat. Played back inside the app.

App lock

A PIN or pattern unique to the app, with fingerprint or face as the everyday shortcut. Five wrong tries wipe it clean.

Your choice of cipher

AES-256-GCM by default. ChaCha20-Poly1305 or AES-CBC with HMAC if you prefer. Standard, published algorithms.

Keys that expire

A message key is parked in our vault for seven days, handed out once, then deleted. Revoke it yourself any time.

Straight answers

What we can see, and what we can't.

Content never leaves your phone unencrypted.Every message is encrypted on the device with a random 256-bit key before it goes anywhere.
WhatsApp carries only a locked file. The card is opaque. Forward it, back it up, screenshot it: nothing readable is in it.
Our vault holds a wrapped key, briefly. The key is wrapped with a secret only the two phones share. The vault stores that blob plus a message id and a timestamp, releases it once, then deletes it. No content, no names, no numbers.
Nothing to hack on our side.No accounts, no contact lists, no message store. Lose the vault and you lose nothing but the keys still waiting to be picked up.
Your identity travels inside the ciphertext.Your name and number are shown to your friend after they unlock, and to nobody else.
Open building blocks.AES, ChaCha20, HMAC-SHA256, PBKDF2. Nothing home-made in the path between you and your friend.
Messages live only on your phone. No backup, no copy with us. Remove a contact, reset, or reinstall and they are gone for good. Nobody can bring them back, and that is the point.
